ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS TOWN/VILLAGE OF EAST ROCHESTER EAST ROCHESTER, NEW YORK PHASE 1 - PEDESTRIAN ENHANCEMENTS EAST ROCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL CAMPUS K-12 -General Notice Town/Village of East Rochester (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Phase 1 - Pedestrian Enhancements East Rochester High School Campus K-12 In accordance with Section 103 of Article 5-A of the General Municipal Law, sealed Bids for the construction of the Project will be received at the office of the Town/Village of East Rochester, located at 317 Main Street, Suite 2000, East Rochester, New York 14445, until May 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM local time. At that time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project includes the following Work: The Pedestrian Enhancements at the East Rochester High School Campus K-12 is a pedestrian sidewalk program to install/replace sidewalks and handicap ramps within the Town/Village of East Rochester, NY. The East Rochester Central School District is a walking district in which students travel the Village sidewalk system to transit to and from school. This project would improve safe access to the school by replacing existing sidewalks to a 5' minimum width, installing sidewalks on streets where none exist, and install /replace handicap ramps at road crossings, all to meet ADA accessibility standards. Sealed Bids are requested for the following Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. A 5% DBE goal and 'Commitment at Bid' form shall be included. All bidders must submit a preliminary DBE plan at the time of bid opening. A project budget will be announced at the time of bid opening and the low bidder will be determined as follows: - If any bids for the Base bid come in under the announced budget amount, the project will be awarded to the lowest base bidder. - If all bids for the Base bid exceed the budget figure, the award will be based on the Base Bid minus the Deduct Bid. The Town/Village of East Rochester, Monroe County, New York, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract.
